Hi all,
I've been practicing for 2-3 years already and am really interested in completing a YTT 200 program. If you have any suggestions for programs on the east coast, residential/ retreat trainings, or what to look for in a training program please please please share!
Thanks and namaste

Nice pose on your profile!
My advice would be to find a few teachers that you like and ask them where they went to teacher training. Start noticing what makes a good teacher: What do you like in a teacher? How do they teach the class? How is that different from teachers you do not like as much?
Best of luck to you.0 -
I would look for a studio whose teaching styles you resonate with. Find out who will be doing the training, and find out how long they have been teaching and their level of expertise. Find out if they will be bringing in Master Teachers for you to learn from. Find out what will be covered in the 200 hour training and how long will it last. There are some places where you can get certified in a couple of months, whereas the program I went through last 13 months. That gave me more time to absorb what I learned. I also compiled close to 700 hours of training instead of 200 hours. That program was very demanding from a time standpoint. You have to figure out what works with your schedule too. For example, if you have a full time day job, you would need to find a training in the evening or weekends.0
