Hi guys!! Thanks so much for bring here. I missed lunch today and went out with friends to a natural market for the evening. Ate one small fish veg meal(well not small re salad cause friend said wow that's a lot but he ate more substantial food and dessert) and paid for a lunch and dinner thinking ill take the other meal home and eat later or tommorow but it was sashimi fish and would have required immediate (well ASAP refrigeration). We didn't go home rather to a friends office to hang out.
So I had to make a decision(the second portion of fish with less salad)
and feeling self concious(though i think it was okay i explained i missed lunch?) ate my lunch/dinner @ 9 pm not starving or super hungry but knowing id need more food to not end up getting too hungry binging once at home without healthy protein veg available.

I am so dedicated nonstop @ this two healthy meal thing and lately I question my dedication!!
Cause even though my macros and blood sugar are stable and good I do feel like I have been overrating overly full. I tried to skip my evening snack but 4hours passed and I was concerned my blood sugar would drop late at night so I ate half if what I would if had much appetite.

Well I'm really questioning my behavior so full before bed. Overall I've gained weight not lost since I started finishing this dedication to healthy meals but I've also had less binging. Except when I can't sleep or get overwhelmed by some emotionally abusive but unavoidable relatives that does me in too.

Can you guys relate at all? How do you approach meals and or snacks if not very hungry?
How do approach and cope with them post binge?
Yesterday morning/afternoon was a bad day for that so it's possible for sure that's why I wasn't hungry today. Or maybe also cause I didn't do my normal long walk.
I just question whether I need to worry @ eating these healthy meals and or I could let go and if ate less protein veg would still have stable enough blood sugar to not binge(other major trigger). I have been feeling too full well mostly guilty about the weight gain.

First, you aren't gaining weight because of eating healthy meals. People gain weight because of the amount of calories they eat, regardless of the type of food.

To me, meal planning is the best solution for a future time like the one you describe -- when you will be getting home late, be hungry, and be tempted to binge because you missed a meal. Instead of eating two meals at the same time, prepare some meals ahead of time at home. Then when you come in, late and tired, something will be there for you.

Editing this to add don't miss lunch. Make your lunch at home and take it with you.

I make absolutely sure that at least one healthy, good tasting meal is in the refrigerator and all I have to do is heat it up. I also make sure that I have all my basics for several other meals cooked and ready to go (for example, steel cut oats cooked for breakfast for several days so I just have to heat them up -- so I don't go to work starving and grab all the junk lying around). If I didn't meal plan and have the basics cooked and ready at home for quick meals, I would be in huge trouble -- because when I'm tired I do not feel like cooking and will grab fast food or eat a dinner of ice cream and popcorn.

I live by something I read here once. "Eat when you're hungry (legitimately hungry) and don't force it when you're not."

I'm a binge eater. I could sit down and eat and eat and eat junky food. I find that when I eat within my calories and macros, that I'm less susceptible to binge eating because I'm just not hungry. I typically eat something every 3-4 hours which keeps me feeling stable (and thus, less prone to binge eating).

Missing meals happens. It's life, it's not perfect. Do your best to not miss meals, but if you do, don't feel like you have to cram 2 meals worth of food in at once.

Edit to add: Don't worry about going to bed full. If you went to bed hungry, you'd be more likely to wake up in the middle of the night feeling like you're starving anyway, right? I mean, maybe that's not you, but it is me.
