Need help with diet.

So I have lost about 30 pounds counting calories and doing cardio, I eat around 1200-1500 calories and I eat back exercise calories. I did some research and decided it was time to work on building muscle and gaining strength, and not worry about the scale. I got the YAYOG app and I am on the first week and I am exhausted,. I need help with diet. I am so used to eating so few calories and I know I need to change what and how I eat if I am going to do this workout I just have NO idea what to do, and I need it to be simple. Any suggestions?

I heard peanut butter or almond butter (my fave) go a long way when trying to add calories. (2 tablespoons of almond butter is 190 calories, 7g protein and is a healthy fat)
