Where to get shoes?

I am only on W1D2, but I am already psyched about this. I know I will need some new running shoes, but I'm not sure where to go. You have talked about getting shoes fitted, but are there certain stores you would recommend? I know many are locational, but I wondered if there were large stores where they know what they're doing (like ****'s or Sports Authority.) Also, I know that every brand is different - are there any in particular that are known for being better than others? If it matters, I run on gravel.

    Try a store that is specifically for running. Try Yelp or Google for local running stores. I prefer the locally owned mom and pop stores, but both Fleet Feet and Road Runners are great.

    Just make sure it is a running store and not just a sporting store.
