This article:

makes use of correlative data to determine some trends. They found that Vo2 max had a huge correlative indicator to heath and age.

It directs one to this calculator:

I of course like it because being almost 50 I came in at "under 20" in fitness age. Then again, I was a twerp when I was under 20 so maybe that isn't a good thing ;)

My fitness age is also younger than 20 (I'm 31). Honestly, not surprised there.

vo2max is a measure of aerobic capacity. The proper way to measure it is in a lab on a treadmill connected to a breathing machine.
This form found a predictable relationship between waist, resting heart rate etc - to vo2max. The first study found a solid relationship between vo2max and body age. I wouldn't hold it as anything other than an interesting data point OR a call to action if you are older than your years.

Mine came out just younger than my age - I'm 40 and I got 37 - but when I ran it for my stats just a couple months ago (before I started Paleo and working with a trainer), I got 49, so I'm definitely going in the right direction.
