Some of us will weigh in today, some of us will weigh in later this week, whatever your day is fine as long as you keep consistent, right? :) My fitbit summary comes on Monday evening and since most of you weigh in on Tuesdays, I'll just stick with that too.

In spite of the pot luck and poor eating choices at Grandbabyland, I managed to hold my own :) I'm very pleased about that although I'm anxious to see the scale going back down again.

SW 198
MFP SW 184.2
LW 181.8
TW 181.8
Short term goal: 165.8

average daily steps 3885, (down from last week) total distance 10.46 miles (also down) , total calories burned 13,611 (up from last week)

most proud of: daily logging of food in spite of being out of town and having a pot luck
biggest challenge: pot luck and Grandbabyland

Hi, I missed last week because I just joined, so I will jump in now!

    Original wt: 350
    MFP starting weight: 300
    LW: 246.6
    TW: 245.0
Short term goal: 240 by Nov. 25

Avg Daily Steps: 5732 - hey, that's pretty good! My goal has been 5100, I think I will have to up it.
    Total Distance: 14.81
    Total Calories Burned: 15,856

Most proud of: Hmm. I guess that would have to be going to the gym yesterday in spite of the road conditions and the fact I haven't got my snow tires on yet!
Biggest Challenge: trying to keep busy in the evening so I don't think about wanting something to eat. I know I am not hungry, I just want to eat.

Thanks! I really do keep forgetting that it's really 103, not just 53 because even 53 is amazing to me because I have actually been trying. The first 50 was easy - it just sort of happened when I wasn't looking! LOL! I could have done without having the emergency surgery though. Unfortunately, I have another hernia (long story but it's a result of the previous surgery, in a sense) so my gut looks like I haven't lost anything. I have to keep remembering my pants are looser in spite of that.

Well, we are all going in the right direction, LOL :)

Yes, Iquilt, you have lost an awesome amount of weight :) Good for you to get to the gym and the steps you are taking.

Sheesh, you are still skunking us with your daily steps. You are one hard gal to keep up with :) And the fact you are here brings a smile to my face.

I suppose I should have set a time limit for my goal... that would make it a "measureable goal" and not just something stuck out there. I will commit myself here and say my goal is to be 165.8 lbs by Feb 1. That is possible but will require me to lose more than 1 lb on some of the weeks and not gain during the holidays. The key to that will be moving more, so I will add the goal of getting my steps back up to the average of 5000/day.

    Hello, team,

I sat down at my computer to upload and log food and found to my dismay that my bugg once again worked only part of the day--and that was the early part of the day, so it didn't register my activity during my evening walk. I've had problems part of the day for three of the last seven days. So, as much as I hate change, I think I've got to decide between the two BodyMedia devices and order one of them. Here's my weigh-in:

    SW with BodyBugg: 155
Lowest weight since using the BB: 129
    Last week: 141.6
    This week: 141.2
    Goal: To maintain around 130

I think Halloween did me in! I had some good activity days despite the colder weather and having to work extra hours almost every day this week. But I know, Sheesh, and my body just keeps proving you right--intake is key. It just takes too much to exercise off even one kit kat. :-)

Will try to post to the introductions soon, and also read posts. I'm happy to see Sheesh has joined us and also happy to see new members. It's midnight and work starts too soon, so I'll sign off for now.

some of my favorite goodies are only available at Halloween and they come in such large packages... I did myself a favor this year and stayed out of the stores, did not bring home any candy at all as I have found (like you, Sarah), it just takes too much exercise to burn it off. Worked out fine as there were hardly any trick'r'treaters in my neighborhood and they didn't mind missing my house at all. But we've got the holidays coming, and with it, I suspect a good number of goodies brought in to the office. I won't be "out of the woods" until January.

So, Sarah, did you decide which unit you will be getting? Any changes that you are excited about in the new one?

    Hi, Light,

Well, it's morning, and I managed to get online in time to have about a half hour for fun before I have to log into work. Now all but 10 minutes of that is gone, but I was able to read a little about the two BodyMedia units and make a decision. I'm ordering the Core today. That's the basic unit which should serve me just fine. I'm not one to walk around with an iphone. I was also able to read a few posts on the SNS site. I think the Core unit will pretty much do what my Bodybugg V3 did before the poor thing started failing. The frustrating thing is that it works most of the time, but there's no indication when it will stop gathering data. It had a good run, though. :-)

OK...struggled AND REMEMBERED to weigh in yesterday, just no time to post.

    SW: 238
    LW: 204.2
    TW: 204.2
    GW: 140

OK.. Halloween candy - actually it was OLD CHRISTMAS candy that I had stashed and forgot about that did me in...along with the yummy food our friends and family has been sharing with us (and yes - I did have to tell one dear friend no more home made goodies until Thanksgiving Dinner!!). However, I came across a bag of reeses pb cup miniatures and I have them in my desk...the other day...I ate 5 of those suckers - OMG did my tummy hurt. I am one who usually only eats one or two and them I'm good, but I have no idea what got into me, but it made me feel ill. I do keep chocolate in my desk because if I don't, I will start grazing on all sorts of other options, whereas one piece at 3ish typically stops me. And these are OLD and they don't taste as good as the new, but I will also admit...did not touch them yesterday or today.....lol.

I missed my dr. appt this morning, went to the wrong office, so I have no new update on my surgery date. I want it as soon as possible so that I can get on that road to recovery...I'm getting "squishy" again...ich. I'm beginning to lose my muscle and that's not good at all. I'm on the anti-squishy campaign. I double checked my bag and I have socks....so off to trainer I go tonight!! TRX = FUN!! I can do lots and not use my knee.

Sheesh, Light and Sarah - Great Job on your weekly reductions!
Iquilt - AWESOME job on your overall and welcome to our little group.

I'm going to say this now and get it out there...we've all been stating our reasons of our challenges, but soon we are going to have to start cracking down on ourselves and helping one another stay on the right path. I have no room to boast, so feel free to bust my chops if I'm coming up with reasons, excuses, whatever - especially after surgery!! The holidays are fast approaching and we are all going to be tempted beyond belief. We need to have a game plan in place for ourselves to limit the overindulgence. We've got three weeks to the first big event and I know my house is going to be a massive foodfest with five families together. Gotta plan to succeed. I do have healthy options going in my contribution - grilled veggies, no sauce for starters!!!

Thanks for your kind words, ladies. On my Fitbit leaderboard, I am usually in the bottom 3 (of about 11)! I only have one person that I really am "competing" with - most of the rest just blow me out of the water all the time! Glad to find a group that's a little more my pace.

Had to get lab work done today, then get the winter tires on (I'm two weeks late!) so it's been a slow start to the day, not sure I will get even 2k in steps today. Guess I will have to do laundry - I do two lengths of the mobile home for every pair of undies and socks I fold! LOL!

That's one way to get your steps in, LOL!
I got out for a walk at lunchtime but even then, I only made it to 3570 steps... that leaves me doing a little walking with Leslie Sansone tonight before getting on my bike ...

I still like my Friday weigh day...so I may be a two a weeker!! lol

    SW: 238
    LW: 204.2
    TW: 203.4
    GW: 140

I'm entering about 70% of my intake...improvement over the last several weeks. Goal is to get to 100% as I did before.

Dr. visit went as expected...waiting for the surgery date...and an MRI has been ordered for my groin area. we're hoping it's just a strain, but if it's something more, I want to take care of them at the same time and only go under one more time. I HATE HATE HATE anesthesia. I don't do well with it. at all. Limited on my physical activity - which stinks. And, I am back to therapy next week for the groin issue. I also forgot to ask what specific exercises I should continue to do to ensure I have strong muscles for post op. Can't wait to get on the road to recovery - AGAIN!

Hubby's going back to work next week, so we should be done with meals provided by outside families. Most were very tasty and a few were very heavy...but still tasty. LOL. It will be good to get back into the swing of things and our own meal preps before the holidays are upon us.

Remember to formulate your holiday plan of attack now, so that we aren't all going "what the ^&* happened".

I usually weigh in on Mondays, but due to Remembrance Day the gym is only open from 1-5 so I won't be going. Holidays are usually pretty busy so there's no point. So it will be Wednesday before I weigh in which might be a good thing after the past couple of days. I have been having problems in the evening where I just want to munch. I think my calorie goal is too low right now, though I have set it according to MFP's goal thingy. So I upped it by 100 today, and we'll see if that is a better goal for me for now. It says I should lose 1.3 instead of 1.5, so I am okay with that!
