Does anyone have any really good recipes? I have lots of avocados and bananas that are going to be thrown away if I don't cook them into something asap. I have a fab recipe for banana & date bread, but I'm stuck with the avocados.

I personally would just freeze them one way or an other.
Any time I have excess fruit I wash it, cut it up to slices, spread it out on a baking sheet, freeze it flat, and bag it after frozen. This leads to nice separate fruit pieces instead of a giant big fruit lumps. Anytime you need it, you open up the bags and take a handful of pieces out to use in smoothies, or in baking, or flavouring yogurt . I personally use them a lot in baby food too. I always had a few ziplock bags of sliced bananas in my freezer, because that is my go to sweetener in everything
As far as the avocado goes, I would just make all of it to guacamole and freeze it into portions. You can freeze it into ice cube tray , and bag it after frozen, and voila you have nice 2 tbsp size guacamole portions.0 -
I'll look when I get to work tomorrow, but I made an awesome chocolate cake with avocado before. Also good is avocado, cocoa powder, vanilla, almond or coconut milk, and sweetener of choice for pudding...as well as just throwing avocado into a smoothie.0

ohh thats a good idea. I need to do more things like this so I'm better prepared.
Primal Runner - that sounds delicious! I make a chocolate mousse using avocado, banana, dates, cocoa powder & stevia. I'm thinking of making some and freezing it in small portions so it lasts longer. The last batch got forgotten about and smelt funky when I pulled it out of the fridge after a few days.0 -

just wanted to say that I sliced up and froze a few bananas & avocados last night after the suggestion. I had no idea frozen banana was so delicious! New favourite snack for sure.0
