Possible Silly Question: Double Training

So, I've been on and off my C25K training for awhile but last made it to W4D1. That was a few weeks ago so I'm going to see if I can pick up where I left off. I have a friend who is starting the program with me and we did W1D1 yesterday.

Here's the silly question: is it safe for me to continue my own training from W4 on forward while also training with my friend from W1 forward? If so, should I run in the morning and at night? Should I try to skip certain days? Any suggestions on how this could work?

    For the first few weeks you could probably pull this off, but when you get to week 4 with your friend and week 7 or 8 on your own, that's going to be tough. Personally, I would just keep going with your friend and add and extra run or cross training workout on some of your off days to beef up your week until you and your friend are up into the longer runs.

    You need the rest days. I'd just start C25k over with your friend, if that's what you want to do.
