Good morning, all! My name is Tanya. I am 41 and from sunny Central Florida. I have lost a little over 40 pounds so far this year (most of it since July 1st) and am shooting for at least another 30 lbs to be comfortable. To hit my approximate goal weight though, I need another 50 lbs. I won't know what weight I want to be until I get there. I am pretty picky about my food and I think this is what has triggered most of my weight loss. I eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods. I added exercise in August and can see the positive changes in my tone. I turn 42 in June and would like to be at my approximate goal weight by then. That's about 6-7 lbs per months...totally achievable! :)

    I'm in! :)

Realistically, I just hope to not gain a bunch over the next 5 weeks. Losing a few would be a total bonus!

Hi Everyone - my name is Karen and I live in California. I am 48 yrs old and have 3 kids (2 are in college and 1 is in high school). I actually enjoy going to the gym in the morning before work. I take a spin or strenght training class and like seeing friends that I have met at the gym. I have gained about 10 pounds this past year and I think it is partially due to my age. I just can't seem to lose it and I don't want to buy new clothes. I really need to lose about 15 lbs. I hope to be able to motivate all of you and I am looking for some ideas on how I can't get this process started - since whatever I am doing or not doing is not working.

Hi, I'm Caoimhe, i'm 20 and I weigh around 130lbs, last time I checked anyway (i'm a little scared of the scales telling me i'm wrong lol) and am around 5ft 5. I'd like to get back down to around 120-125lbs before I go back home for my christmas holidays (at uni now so I have 5 weeks exactly today!!). You guys seem pretty cool so I thought this would be a good group to join for motivation and support in losing the weight:)

    Hello Everyone,
My name is Sonia I turned 50 this past April and will be married to the love of my life for 30 years January 14, 2014. I have 3 children, 2 boys 27 and 21 and a daughter that is 15. I teach high school study hall so I am basically behind a computer all day.
I have been up and down my whole life and finally decided in August (when another teacher told me about MFP) to seriously do something about it and stick to it. I have lost 20.6lbs. Finally hit ONEderland this morning!!! 199.4. :drinker: (My first goal of being under 200 I had set for Jan 2014.) I still have 10 weeks now to work on 2nd goal of being 190 or under for our 30th anniversary on 1/14/14. I think it's been about 15 years since I saw under 200. My husband and kids are so supportive and happy that I am doing so well and feeling so much better. My husband told me last night he was proud of me and the way I was really sticking with this and how well I was doing.
Here's an LOL for everyone. I stepped on the scale after my shower this morning and when it read 199.4 I picked up the scale went running into the kitchen (butt naked still) :noway: and made my husband look at the scale so he could see that I was under. He was really excited for me.
Well good luck to us all and Happy Holidays :drinker: To Losing!

    STATS as of 11/13/13
Height: 5' 7 1/2" (Have lost almost 3" due to two ruptured disks) (And age) :grumble:
    SW: 220
    CW: 199.4
    1st GW under 200 (DONE 11/13/13)
    2nd GW: 190 or under by 1/14/14
As I get closer I will decide where I need to be.
I will take it 10lbs at a time.
    Happy Losing Sonia

    Hello All
I am Robyn I have really only been focusing on my weight lost the last 2 weeks or so. I have been a member for a while but I decided to get a whole bunch of test done to find out why I yo yo and freeze so bad.

I was to go back 2 weeks later, which was yesterday I am perfectly healthy and lost 7pounds. So I am to stick with it and add exercise to it.

My name is Christine. I have been a member before but I decided to cancel my account since I wanted to start fresh and I did not want competition but motivation from groups and friends.

I am a wife and mother of 3 children. I have a grandbaby that is 2 years old that I love dearly. I reside in the East Coast USA.

I am very realistic with my goals I have gained and lost and gained and lost weight but now that I am turning 50 next year, I feel that my goal is to be healthy and fit. I can't promise forever but I am trying one day at a time.

    Age: 49
    Height: 5'3
    Weight: 168 lbs
    Immediate goal is 155 lbs
    Dream goal is 140

I am here NOT TO COMPETE, I just want motivation. I am also not here to prove that I am Wonder Woman or Super Girl. I am just me and I have nothing to prove.

    :flowerforyou:

You sound so cool, and I accepted your friend request btw :)

Good morning everyone and welcome those who I haven't met yet. Feel free to send me a friend request! I'm really excited about the next 5 weeks and I'm looking forward to doing what I can to help each and every one of you reach your goal. We can do this and it will be fun. I'm going to be there right along with you. I'm restarting the Gamma Phase of Focus T25 on Monday. Although it's only 4 weeks I will do the last week as a recovery week. Hope everyone has a great day and I look forward to hearing from all of you. We will all post and support one another through the most tempting time of the year (food wise) so that we don't have to worry about those New Years resolutions.
