counting calories

what's your take on counting calories while on LCHF? I'm struggling with weight loss and have taken some advice to increase my calories and macros. new macro count 75/20/5 and calories 1500. I'm 5 feet 4, CW 160 (gained three pounds), GW 130. light to moderate exercise 3 to five days a week of very brisk walking to light jogging and at times weight lifting.

I find I have to count calories. I'm about 5'8" 168. I aim for around 1300 but get closer to 1400 most days. High fat helps me keep my calories in check.0

I'm not totally on board with the idea that you don't have to count calories, so I try my hardest to stay at 20% of my TDEE.0
