different exercise ideas for a sprained ankle

I sprained my ankle last May and really need help coming up with exercises that can I can do. I understand I can perform crunches but that only gets me so far. I am looking for other ideas. My situation is as follows: My ankle is still tender 6 months later. I have been to an orthopedic doctor and he gave me a cortisone shot however, that only worked for a bit. My ankle is slowly getting better and I can finally stand with full weight bearing on it but I really need to get back into exercising and do not want to keep reinjuring it. I am looking for different exercises that can be done at home with limited mobility! HELP! :sad:
