No sugar bacon -YUCK!

Sorry but I really miss the sweetness of maple bacon. I bought a load of Smithfield hickory smoked bacon on sale and threw it in my freezer.
Excited to have bacon I cooked up a few slices and was really disappointed. After pondering what to do with it I had a thought. I used to make my own pancake syrup for my kids ( high sugar but no added preservatives) and still had maple extract. I got a small spray bottle and put in some extract, water and some drops of stevia liquid. As I fried my bacon this morning I misted it with my little mixture and............YUM!!! It had that sweet maple flavor I've always loved.
