I don't work out with a trainer, but I eat 6 meals/day. They aren't all small (my lunch and dinner make the buik) but I spread my calories out over the course of the day (I eat anywhere from 1400-1650 cals per day).

    I wake up:
    -Protein shake
    -Pre workout supp
    *go to gym*

    Come home:
    -Protein shake
-Scrambled egg with 1 piece of turkey bacon and low sodium/sugar ketchup

    Get to work:
    Either:
-Banana topped with 3 tablespoons PB2 -or-
-1/3c oatmeal mixed w/ 4oz unsweetened apple sauce, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 3oz. of milled flax seed

    Snack before lunch:
-1/2c cottage cheese with 1oz almonds mixed in -or-
    -a Quest bar

    Lunch:
-Always changes, but usually 250-400 calories (usually a smaller portion of my dinner from the night before)

    Afternoon snack:
-Turkey lunch meat with pepperoni, mozzarella cheese stick, sliced onion/tomato, lettuce rolled up inside (2 of these)

    Dinner:
    -400 to 450 calories

    Before bed:
    Casein protein shake

I work out with a trainer 2 x week and on my own another 2 times. To keep energy levels up I use protein snacks between meals. I have to be at work early (6:30am) so I start off with a small snack first. I eat breakfast once I get to work. I find it best to eat something every 3-4 hours to have a good workout and not feel depleted.
