My brother is giving my mother a Kindle for Christmas. Since we're worried that the technology might put her off, I'd like to have a list of good, new work to suggest to her. She loves fiction and history for genres. Her interests include cooking, gardening, sewing, and writing. I just want her to enjoy her Christmas gift. Also, since we have similar tastes in books, any suggestions for her will work for me! ;)

    I'd stalk the "Goodreads" site for the top books and new releases in those subjects (along with honest reviews from readers). That's my go-to book site for inspiration!

    I love goodreads! I don't have any suggestions but the genres will be in there so she could search for books she'd like to read.
