Why doesn't strength training burn calories?

I just started today and noted my strength training but there is (0) calorie burn. Why is that?
I always do cardio for 1/2 hour or more and then another 1/2 hour of strength with free weights or machines.

    Strength training burns calories.

    Hi!

    You may be getting confused due to the way MFP is set up. The log you use for your specific strength training routine does not show calories. However, to log your calories, go to the cardio section and select one of the strength training options.

    There is no "strength-training" options in the cadio section, it comes up (0). Please advise

    Try strength training with a space rather than a dash. Or just search for strength.
