Six months ago I was instructed to start experimenting with cutting down on metformin. After consistently having hba1c at 4.9 on 500 mg of metformin, I've been instructed to try stop completely. They will check hba1c in 3 months.

    This is great! All the best for your next a1c. My doctor suggested that I increase my Metformin dose from 500 to 1000 mg. I think I need to work harder at my diet and exercise.
