Hey everyone, I'm new to this website but I've heard of this type of eating before and was pretty interested in it from the get go. I'm an 18 year old female, 5'3, 134 lbs and looking to lose quite a bit of bodyfat. I used the scooby calculator using 3-5 hrs / week of moderate exercise, and for maintenance got 2112 and for 15% calorie reduction 1765.

The thing is, I have a heart rate monitor and I'm so use to the thought of adding back 'exercise calories' that I'm sorta skeptical about not doing so and trusting the website. What if I don't exercise one day? Do I eat less calories? What if I exercise strenuously and burn much much more than I had provided on that website .. It's just really confusing me. Should I just select the "desk job" option and continue adding back calories from exercising? Help! xx

Thanks, and feel free to friend me! (:

If workouts are even a tad consistent, then use, the TDEE deficit method works better, mainly because you can plan better.
Those differences you mention drown out in the balance.
And you assume the HRM is more accurate.

Now, the rough 5 TDEE levels with you picking them can be very off too.

Use the spreadsheet on my profile page to get best estimates of everything, and advice on what to do if you miss a workout or make it up, or add extra beyond what was planned.
