So many Supplements!

Anytime I go to the supermarket and see the supplement section I feel like crying and laughing all at the same time. All of them claim to be "essential" for our health but our knuckle dragging ancestors didn't take these-and to be fair-they got us this far! All I want for Christmas is to loose the fat around my middle. I've tried Raspberry Ketone, fat blockers, carb blockers, African Mango, Ayurveda stuff all manor of faffery and still I am a little fatty. Oh yes I've tried the gym and calorie restriction. I have to be the only person that GAINED weight on both a detox and a "teatox"! I've done weight watchers-but that kind of constant cooking, point counting and starvation in unsustainable! I had some success on "The Plan" but I don't have time to cook all day! I've tried hypnosis and mindful eating and chewing slowly etc etc. I've also considered Paleo and did a couple of Paleo days-its the most fun of all of them but I worry about it being healthy taken to its extremes I am currently drinking half my body weight in oz a day (which is what you do on the plan) and having some success with that-but its painfully slow and it might just be the kelp, B12, liver supplement and occasional MSM (for re-activity (The Plan) and probiotics I'm currently taking! I feel like every week Dr Oz has more and more supplements that are supposed to burn fat rev metabolism etc etc and I wanna try another one but I have no clue which one is worth my money? Can you please help? P.S. I have PCOS IBS and take Metformin to help with insulin resistance. Oh how I have tried. My weight 185 and am 5 foot 3 and my weight is discouraging me in every area of my life-it's really bumming me out! Can you recommend a supplement to burn my belly fat as calorie restriction and copious amounts of water aren't cutting it!
