Fitbit has badges and fun? Oy. I've been putting off getting one as I thought I didn't need one, but I really *want* one now. I track my runs and walks w/ the iphone but who knows how much unintentional exercise I get the rest of the day just walking around!

I love the fitbit itself, but am less than impressed that the dongle has died in less than 24 hours of getting it - waiting to hear back from them about that. For now, I'm having to keep track of steps, mileage and calorie burn and manually enter them via Endomondo. Hopefully they will get back to me soon about replacing it.

I had a huge long post all typed up and when I went and hit "Post Reply" it went to the MFP log-in screen and lost it all...   Oh the humanity. I had saved part of it on my clipboard....let's see how much of it I can recreate here...
PHYTOGURL - Chopping wood is quite the workout!! Hope you survived it okay!
SANDYWERKS - Oooh, yes, hamstring strains are horrible...it's good that you let it recover so that it could heal and even if you don't make goal this month, you'll be better prepared for January. :flowerforyou:
CANUCKRUNNER - BRRRR! That weather headed our way here in Minnesota. it's been -3F today and is supposed to drop another 10-15 degrees tomorrow. I'll be staying indoors as much as possible.
ANACONDA469 - I think* I already congratulated you but if not, CONGRATS on making your 1000 mile goal!
LUCKYSUSAN - I loved Charleston the couple times I visited it when I was stationed in Beaufort, SC! So much history and lost of charm.
JENNYMCWB - Shoes can be tricky....although I totally agree with you that they probably weren't the culprit since you've worn them so many times already with no problems at all. Glad the meds are working. I've had great luck for foot pain in the past with Arnical gel. In fact on a whim I tried it on my hip a couple of days ago and it worked amazingly! Best it's felt yet! I got it from Walmart or Target in the pharmacy section.
LAURA6887 and KAPLAT - RIGHT??? Those badges sure are addictive!! I wish I hadn't seen that there's a 20K badge too. lol I imagine there are a bunch more at every 5K, but I don't think I'll be trying to get those....not just yet anyway.
KAR328 - LOL! I don't know who will be first but maybe we can get a 2-for-1 Groupon or something? And that sounded like one crazy-busy night!! :noway:
Janet (JTH11706) - AWWW, that sounds wonderful running along a sunny, warm California beach!! And doing it for goal will just be the icing on the cake. You enjoy that a bunch for all* of us stuck in the icy tundra!! And thank you so much for all the work with the spreadsheet. It is very much appreciated.
Congrats to CLEPANT, SCARFE9991 and JENNIFERTSMITH for making their GOALS!!!!!! :drinker::drinker::drinker:
Also so glad to see all of you that have made your goal in the last day or so and many more that are just *THIS* close!!! :drinker:
We are now within 785 miles of the 300K milestone!!
There. I think I got everything back.... :ohwell: But this time I'm going to copy it all to my clipboard first before I try posting it. :blushing: And now I'm off to the gym to try to make up a few more miles so I can get back into the festive lime green! And of course to make my daily step count goal!
Wishing you all the best,
Dave

Well, I just heard that our friendly spammer is back at it again sending PM's trying to lure people to UGLworkouts.com. If you get a message from that user (Don't mention the name publicly), let me know please. I will make sure they are dealt with.
Thank you!

I got that a few weeks ago and didn't know where it came from. Ignored it.
One disclaimer on the Fitbit smartphone sync - it doesn't work if you have an iPhone 4 or older (like I do). The bluetooth technology changed with the 4S.0 -

Definitely not making goal this month (for the first time) but today. I had a nice 4 mile run with all under 10 minute miles, so that was a success for today!
Awesome run!0 -

It's been a good Sunday! Won't hit my 10,000 steps today, but I did have 13+ miles on the recumbent.
Chris
Thanks Chris! My steps are under 10K today too because my workout wasn't very step-friendly.0 -

I had 17,953 yesterday so I figure that offset today's lower step count. Also...dang, I wish I had taken 47 more steps yesterday.0 -
