HOLIDAY CALORIE CALCULATOR...OR...HOW FAR TO WALK IT OFF? This website has a list of foods you see at holiday meals that you can check off, then it'll tell you how much walking you'll need to burn it off. Might be a good website to check out BEFORE you sit down to the meal. ;-)

I read a good idea recently for that overflowing christmas table - at the start of the day/party make up your own private treat plate. Take a nice plate and put everything you want to eat for the day ie. 2 rum balls, 1 mince tart, some choc sultana, a few sweets etc and cover it with glad wrap and put it aside, then eat (treats) only from that plate. Instead of mindlessly digging into the tempting bowls you know exactly how much you have had.
