I pretty much stuck to my food plan but went a little over by drinking a can soda which I very seldom do. It was yummy and I
enjoyed it and I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I could have done worrse as I was only about 50 calories over. Biggest problem for me was the lackof activity in spite of taking the kids to the park and walking the soccer fields. STILL made under 2000 steps for the day.uggh. will try to do better today which should be easier as today will not be as cold. We are thinking of bringing the soccer ball to the park today and kick it around with the little ones. Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

    Hi, Light,

I'm was so glad to see your posts when I checked in. I did okay too. Not great. I had a surplus of 35 calories yesterday. The orange cream cheese frosting on the gingerbread cupcake did me in. I had to be honest and count the extra frosting I consumed from the mixer bowl.

I'm house and kitty sitting for the neighbors, which is good. I walk over 3 times a day, and climb up and down their stairs taking care of the kitties, turning on an off lights, and opening and closing blinds, so it appears that they're home. I was surprised to see that I walked almost 5,000 steps yesterday without formally walking. That's good evidence to me that it's the job that kills me. On days I don't work, I burn a lot more just "living." I've had work days when I didn't reach a 1000 steps all day long.

sorry I didn't get back with a reply to you but we decided to go have family pictures done on Fri and then did a lot of walking around and got back rather late. Saturday, we took the kids to the park to enjoy the swings, slides and some kicking the ball around :) That was a lot of fun and then we pretended to play a little tennis but it ended up just being efforts to keep the ball going back and forth. I ended up doing more steps chasing the ball than I did walking the parameters of 2 soccer fields, LOL. Had lots of fun, though and makes me wish for someone to hit the ball back and forth with on a regular basis... someone at my level who can't hit it either :D

Today, I logged the foods that I couldn't get logged the last couple days and took a look at how much over calories I was for two of the days. I did pretty good for the rest of the week, though and should be able to hold my own this week now that I'm back home. I say that now but we'll see...

Good going with the extra steps :) Amazing how a change in routine can affect us... either for the good or for the bad.

Well a little preview of the scales shows a loss of about 1 lb... which is less than I had hoped for since I thought the 2 lb gain last weigh in was mostly water weight from eating the breadstuffs but I have had some sweets over the last week too so I may be to blame. I'm still hoping for a bit more to be off by officially weighing in Tues... we'll see... but at least the scale is going in the right direction.

I cooked my healthy choices...and I ate my healthy choices...along with the not so healthy. was good about just one serving spoon plop...but we ate about 5 times over the weekend. We had so much food that all but 5 people came back on Friday to eat again - TWICE!!! and then I sent tons of food home with them. Somehow we still have lots. Some stuff was portioned and frozen into serving sizes for hubby when I eat before he gets home (then I eat healthier as well). The rest that's in there will be tossed tonight for the garbage man to pick up tomorrow. I did brave the scale Saturday morning, and was at 204.0, down a little, but I have no idea where I am going to be tomorrow morning when I get to the hospital.

I was a bad bad girl this past weekend.

Light - congrats on staying on plan - that is so awesome!!! Praying the scale rewards you for those efforts tomorrow.
Sara - keep moving! So happy you got in the walks you got in while you could.

Gotta get back to work as I clear my desk to be out of the office for the rest of the week. Looking forward to recovery on Wednesday!!

    Hi, Lois,

I will be thinking about you tomorrow (uh, today--I just realized it's after midnight here) and sending you lots of good healing vibes. Let us know how you are on "recovery day" if you're feeling well enough to check in.

OMG! I did not do well at all! I weighed myself first thing Monday morning after having house guests for a week . . 135.2 lbs . . YIKES! And that's WITH still working out AND running a 5K turkey trot Thanksgiving morning. My body isn't used to all the starches, salt and sugar. Got my work cut out for me now. My goal is still to be under 130 at the end of the year. Do your think I can do it?

Looks like everyone did okay. My positive vibes are being sent to Lois today. I'll check back later to see if there's a weigh in post.
