    Alrighty I am not sure how much faith I have in this weigh in since I messed everything up the past few days but non the less I am here and this is it... So off I will be till Tuesday morning which again may be late since I hope to go out of town with my husband :)

    12/19/13= 230 (+5) Doctor put me on some meds that he said would make me gain a few lbs :sad: But I'm sure I'll drop them next week when I'm off the meds... Hopefully I can pull off some loss this month :frown:
    12/26/13= 232 (+2) Hopefully now that I'm past Christmas I can start to lose again... Excited about getting back into my routine and back to the gym :drinker:

    Good job, Theresa! In no time you'll be in "one-derland"!!

    Malia, I completely understand your sentiments. I love Christmas, but this year I was so happy to see the end to all those huge meals. I weighed on Christmas morning, so I only had one big meal prior to the weigh in...and I have a week to work off the Christmas cookies....thank goodness!!

    Week 2: 12/13/13 = 205 (-4.0) happy sigh...
    Week 3: 12/20/13 = 206 (+1) sad sigh...
    Week 4: 12/27/13 = 203 (-3) up down up down (hope to break this pattern and not go up...)
    Week 5: 12/31/13 =

    "Baked cookies to give away at work's cookie swap but didn't touch any of them." -last week's hope was too soon. Ended up eating a half dozen and throwing the rest away to stop.

    Congratulations to everybody who posted losses in December! Cheers for everyone who held the line over the holidays!

    And most importantly...words of encouragement and absolution to anyone who might have perhaps...accidently...pushed the boundries of mindfulness when faced with the full reality of the range and domain of the season's temptations. To you, I draw to mind the words of the philosopher Hal Morgenstern who said, "Failure is not falling down. Failure is staying down."

    January was MADE for redemption!

    Me? My numbers are a mystery. I deliberately did not weigh myself this month. But I have new jeans that are a size smaller than the new jeans i bought a month ago...

    When the clinic I weigh in at opens again in January...we will see if my attempt at moderation and mindful indulgence over the holidays was more successful than last year's denial/restrictions/binging that added five pounds to the problem.

    But everybody who logged faithfully this month, even if you were not logging the most sound of nutritional decisions (like the ones I made), gets my grins and cheers!

  • It's amazing to see us all here even over Christmas...
    Some losses and some gains but we all showed up! Don't wait for January to get your butts moving... Today is a great day to do it... Even if it is -47 for some of us :)

    Week 1: 12/06/13 = 319 (-5 lbs...off to a good start - let's see if I can keep it moving! smile )

    Week 2: 12/13/13 = 313.4 (-5.6 lbs. - I think the weights and eating slightly higher in my calorie range are helping :-)

    Week 3: 12/20/13 = 315.4 (+2 lbs. - thinking there was too much sodium this week and water weight is back :-(...less sodium, more water this coming week!)

    Week 4: 12/27/13 = (changed to 12/31/13 due to travel) 309.4 (-6 lbs. - thanks to the viral plague that graced me throughout the holiday week...ugh. Feeling better now though :)

    Made my challenge goal and so close to the 70 lb. mark I can taste it!! Happy New Year to all and have a fun/safe time tonight :)

    GW: 305 (modified to 299)

    Weigh-ins:

    Week 1: 12/07/13 = 307.3 -3.4lbs (Last time I weighed this little was August of 1995 when I got a physical for work. Weighed in at 308 then. )

    Week 2: 12/14/13 = 304.3 -3 lbs And below goal. Changing goal to 299 lbs. I may not make it with the holiday, but why not shoot for it?

    Week 3: 12/21/13 = 305.2 + .9 I say it was hubris, but more probably this darn cold. No exercise in almost a week and comfort eating. Back to my original goal? lol

    Week 4: 12/28/13 =

    Week 5: 12/31/13 = 302.1 -3.1 lbs (Was probably in the 200's after Disneyland, but San Diego was sedentary and a lot of good food and family. Still, showing a loss during travel... I'm overjoyed!)

    Week 3: 12/20/13 = 297.4 (+0.6) OOPS!

    Week 4: 12/27/13 = On Vacation. No Weigh in.

    Week 5: 12/31/13 = 297.6 (+0.2)

    Total of 2.4 loss! Only half of my goal, but with the holidays I count that as a win.

    January should be awesome.

    Well, not the greatest month for me... But with the challenges of medications from being sick, and all the holiday parties, I figure I did pretty good... On to January! A wonderful month for many reasons, one of which is my 31st Birthday on the 15th! And of course some great new fitness toys to try out from Christmas gifts! Happy New Years Fit Fam!!! :drinker:

    Made it through December without totally crashing. YEEHaw! Now to clean up my eating AGAIN. lol! I will kick butt in January. :wink: Mainly my own. lol!

    The thread is now closed. For the extremely tough month of December, The 16 people reporting losses totalled 74.9 lbs lost.

    Congratulations to those folks who blew it out of the water this month: Emmerin78 and leannabseven who both posted double digit losses.

    Not bad peeps, not bad at all. January is here. Let's have the best month yet!
