Week 1 Post Op--Need suggestions

Oh my word am I hungry! How on earth am I going to make it two weeks on liquids only? I am only 5 days out. I have 9 more days to go. Please share any tips or advice for dealing with this fasting period to allow my sleeve to heal so I can move on to soft foods.

The most hungry I got was a week or two after surgery. I don't know if it was because of the liquid pre and postop diet, or if it was just in my head, or what. But it didn't last long. After I started eating solid food, I went months without craving food at all.

You'll get past this just fine.

PROTEIN SHAKES. More than likely it's thirst or "head hunger" you are feeling. Stay hydrated and consume protein shakes which will give you that full feeling, promote healing and start you on teh right path. Good luck.

I agree, that it is most likely head hunger, a very powerful force. When hunger strikes, get up move, walk, get your hands and brain busy. Don't worry about post surgery hunger now. Also drink a cup of water every time you are hungry pre surgery. Oldest diet trick in the book, but it works for most. Lol. I still het full if I drink 2 z of water
