Hi all,

I just bought my copy of Insanity. But, I have a starting trouble! I know its going to be extremely difficult. So, I am just coming up with excuses to postpone it. I know i want to do it. But i just cant seem to decide when to start.

Do you think i should just do the fit test? and then i will feel motivated enough to start it?

My gym also provides free yoga classes on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. You guys think it will be a good idea to couple insanity with yoga?

A little background - i am a working mom of 2 kids under 2. I was essentially pregnant for 18 months out of 24. I ahve a very supportive husband and I have the time to spend as well. My body is at an all time low and feels like it is 80 years old. I want to be healthy. that is all. And may be once i finish insanity i will try a 5K since i want to run a marathon some day.

I can relate I had a baby in April and didn't really diet after it but I had purchase insanity in sept and was really excited for starting it wht I did to pump me up is look up people's progress stories and pics online I also decided to do the fit test and when I reached the end (after stopping a few times during workouts) but after it u can tell yourself that wasn't too bad and do the same with workout I especially like getting to te end seeing all the sweat dripping and thinking of calories burned yeah im weird lol and knowing I pulled through hopefully it helps a bit and also there's different things people do to encourage themselves

Just do what you can! When I started, I couldn't even finish the fit test without modifying it (so, for example, I couldn't do the high-impact switch kicks. I did a few but my body couldn't take it so I had to just kick, put that leg down, kick the other leg. Now I can do them!

I have to modify several of the exercises (especially in the last round) to avoid triggering old injuries or creating new ones. And there has been a day or two where I had to switch out the recovery disc for a straight yoga/stretching/pilates tape because my joints just coldn't take more pounding. The changes I see in my body tell me it's worth it!

    You can DO it!
