Hey everyone, Friday I was so busy with finals and all that jazz that I under ate my daily calories by 800, yesterday I overate by 900 calories. I didnt take my time to really pay attention to this until today and was wondering does this balance out? I know we all go over at times but im wondering if me missing these calories friday would offset my over intake yesterday. Thanks

Yes, over a couple of days it should balance out mostly. A couple of things to consider though (your mileage may vary with both of these).
1. I often find that if I eat yesterday's "banked" calories today, my digestive system "can't handle" the excess, if you get my drift. Because the food doesn't stay inside me for very long, I'm sure I'm not optimizing my nutrient absorption from my food the way I should be when this happens.
2. SOME people (not all) find that doing this makes it harder for them to control themselves over the long term -- the higher-calorie feast days can trigger bingeing. (It's also true that some people find it HELPS them because they personally find it easier to fast a few days a week than control themselves everyday).0 -
I have read that one suggested way to break a plateau is to vary the calories from day to day, high then low----as long as the weekly average is spot on. I have used it myself from time to time, low for a few days, high by the deficit the 3rd day, and normal the 4th. It seems to work out fine.0

I think my advice is to not really worry about it and focus on staying at or below your calories moving forward. Similar to what Sympha said, you want to be careful of not getting into bad habits over the long run. If you eat way under or way over on one day just get right back to eating what/how you are supposed to eat to meet your goals.
