It's already afternoon here, and I've only just now gotten in 100 jump ropes.

My workout wish?

To improve form (which means I'm getting stronger).
To not get aches in the wrong places from my workouts (no sore wrists or shins).
To meet my daily workout goals.
To create fun routines, and do them!

Good morning (afternoon), chani8. Great idea for a topic.

    My workout wishes are:

    (1) To do something every day. I walk to work and love hiking in nature. That's very difficult this week since it snowed and I have final papers and exams. However, I can do something. A little is better than nothing. I'm aiming at consistency.
    (2) I want to grow up to be simsburyjet, ha ha... I want to master push ups and do real ones every day. I have almost no upper body strength.

    Oops, forgot to say:
    25 squats
    1 plank
    10 push ups

My workout wish is to not feel extreme pain when doing bicycles in insanity class.. Feel like such a failure during abs.
Walk in the cold more with the dog because she deserves it.

250 push ups 125 bicep curls 8# and 10 pistols each leg..

Did not hear back about ownership of deskercisers. .. I am trying to have us all be owners but would like to delete most of the members and try to get some new ones.

    Great!!! Both of you!! :)

If only one person can own the group, so just own up, Sims. ;) I'm happy to be a member, or if need be, a mod.

I wish more people would participate in this group.

    35 squats (6 k)

I would delete most of the people in the group and then maybe put up a fake pic of some male model and ask for new members.

    510 push ups
    150 bicep curls
    10 pistols each leg

25ea reverse flys, 10ea renegade rows (6k), 15ea "start the lawn mower" which are like 'bent over rows in squat position' using 5k.

Good morning, MartialPanda, you're off to a great start! When I do squats, I think of how many you do, and it helps me to keep going! :)

I'm new to the group and I really thought it was about sneaking in exercise while at work. I don't tend to tell you folks about the stuff I do outside of the office. I have a few other challenges I take part in as well as here. I started walking first thing in the morning yesterday for 30 minutes per Sensei's advice. Yesterday was way warmer than today. I'm taking the dog which he's fine with for the first 5 minutes then after that he's like "Why aren't we headed for home? It's cold out here!" I never thought I'd have a dog with a sweater on but he sleeps under the covers inside the house so I figure he needs the extra coat.

I have a daily challenge group who has an awesome owner. She's always comming up with different things. That's where I picked up the burpee challenge for the month. And I have a group called Move Your @$$ which tracks mileage. You set a goal and then move how ever you want to get there. That one keeps me going to reach my self set goals. Since I joined this group, that's why I decided to do the Lean Machine's Advent Calendar exercises. I figured that would work for this group. And I have a few other groups I belong to for my interests. I like to cycle and a personal goal this year is ride in the Denver Century Ride in June. We are looking for trainers to get us through the winter since I'm not a cold weather rider.

I also need to work on my flexibility since after 3 years in Karate, I still can't do the splits. For a long time, I thought, well, I'm not a kid so not to be that flexible isn't a crime. But lately, since I haven't damaged my knees, I'm thinking that perhaps I can improve some more. I'm going to use some of the Bruce Sister's FlexiFriday vids to help with that.

I have Karate 3x a week for 2 hours and Kickboxing 2x a week for about 40 minutes. Other nights I go for a spin class during the winter. The weekends are up for grabs. I was almost through with Couch to 5K training and then that stopped with the cold weather. I need to finish that up. I hate to run but I have found through that trianing program that I can run for over 2 miles and it doesn't kill me. If I don't run, I don't tend to lose weight.

So - recap on the goals: 1) Ride my butt off all winter on a trainer so that I can do the distances needed when the weather comes back for outside riding. 2) Build up flexibility and consistent karate practice outside of class. 3) Keep running. 4) Do a HIIT every day of some type.

I'll post again later after I've done my Advent, Burpees, and walk inside the building. They added star jumps today. Not my favorite type of jumping jack.

Wow, Verdemujer, you are AWESOME!! :) You can post here whatever you want to! My 'office' is in my living room and I am pretty much stuck here all day, so in order to keep from just sitting sedentary at my desk all day, I joined this group. I can't believe how much this group has motivated me. I've even kicked my desk chair away so that I stand when I'm at the computer! LOL

Wow Sims, you're really getting those pushups in today!! And I guess I will just have to youtube what a leg pistol is. (ETA- OMGosh!!! You're doing THOSE??!!)

Oh, I almost forgot what I came here to post: elbow circles to warm up. Then, 1 set each 15 ea of: one arm shoulder press, dumbbell sea saws, high front raises, front raises, sumo high press, lateral raises, cuban press, front hammer raises.

    @chani8 - i'm glad i'm your squat inspiration! haha.
@verdemujer - what time of karate/martial arts are you doing! That's amazing. Yeah martial arts. I've done martial arts for about 10+ years of my life........which i just realized. I used! to be able to do a split....no longer. To get a split you have to do it EVERYDAY. but honestly flexibility helps but I believe dexterity is an amazing asset as well. Don't forget to practice both!

@sims - how do you do pistols! Gah i fail once i go half way down. I have to use a table to balance.

Oh right workout - 2 minute plank (i'm doing a mostly abs day)

    more things!

30 jump squats, 10 lunges on each side, 30 tuck ups, 30 russian twists.

I can understand that.. I love hot wings, once won a contest for eating 12 super hot wings in 8 minutes at sliders.. The key is just do it as fast as you can. Took a shower that night and everything was burning.. They tasted awful also and I was in a daze driving home.

    1000 push ups
    200 bicep curls
    20 pistol squats..

    Going to body pump..

Chani you come up with some good names so ______________Thursday.. Did not hear back from anyone about deskercisers. Will continue to bug them.

I'm back - took me a bit to do them today. 10 pushups on my knees today, 10 squats, 10 one-legged tricep dips, 10 lunges, 10 squat thrusts, 10 hill climbers (english style), 10 crunches, 10 tuck jumps, 10 V Situps, 10 Star Jumps, 20 Burpees with 7 laps in the building for 3878 steps (1.8 miles). Karate tonight with kickboxing.

MartialPanda - cute picture. My karate is my Sensei's very own style - JuTaeKemBo - it's a mix of JuJitsu, Tae Kwan Do, Kempo and Kick Boxing. His knees are shot since he's been doing this all since he was 10. He has a 3rd degree black belt but his school left their organization so he can't be recognized as advancing anymore in that group. I don't think he cares at this point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_grH37-idCU (That's my fam in the back ground...)

He does pistol squats always with a chair under him as they kill his knees. I will have to watch this video some more has the ankle thing I didn't know. I tend to only do pistols is he makes it part of our HIIT during Kickboxing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4q0kqmF608

I started karate in support of my son - we were the entire family that did it. For this last summer, I was the only one in the family still doing it. My son's come back to it though. Its been 3 years now.
