Tired after eating?

I'm two and half weeks out from surgery and am in the soft food stage. When I eat, I can only eat like 2-3 pencil eraser sized bites. Afterwards, I'm extremely exhausted. Did anyone else experience that? Did it last long?

I am five weeks out after surgery and I am reminded daily that it takes time to heal. I get extremely tired if I eat too much carb or sugars.

I experienced this myself. It was especially hard once I went back to work. I'm not totally sure how long it lasted. I think about 1-2 months, but it will go away :)

I absolutely did that, and it did take a few months for me to feel normal again. At almost a year out, I still have the occasional tired spell after eating, but mainly when i do not eat enough protein.

Co workers are just fessing up that I looked like crap my first week back. Be patient and get your rest.

I felt very fatigued after surgery, but it went away after a few weeks. I just made sure I didn't overdo anything and got lots of rest.

It took me about 2 months to really feel normal after the surgery. Just remember 1st, you just had a major surgery, that takes time to heal up. 2nd, now you're only eating maybe 15-30% the amount of food that you used to eat and at this time you're basically eating baby food. Feeling exhausted would be completely normal. I'd say it would be weird if you didn't feel exhausted.
