Competition Suits (Bikini) Top support.

Hi, So I have been looking at a few sites for competition bikini's. I am doing a Bikini Division comp in the summer or fall (depending if I am ready). I have a question about the Bikini tops, How are they so small yet look like they provide support?

Should I get one with padding or a certain material/style? I cannot wear a regular String bikini top from the store, it does not support at all! I am 34 D right now, I was at 34DD before training, I may go down one more size, but I could not see any more than that. My breast do not naturally sit very high (they are a bit lower and fuller at the sides appose to center of my chest). So i worry that if I wear a comp bikini top I will just fall out. Help! I know some of the women are small chested or have implants.. but I assume that some must have a situation similar to mine.

Also what are some good sites. I would like to pay no more than 200 after shipping. (I live in Canada) I have looked at Water babies and a few other sites but I do not recall the names.

Any help would be great. Thanks! :D

OMG, I had such an boob adventure training for my first show.

I started training at a 34DD and went down to a full 34 D after about 2 months of cutting. A few days out, I was still a 34 D but much looser in the cups. I had lost so much fat mass through cutting and so much water through dehydrating that my boobs were like floppy pancakes the day of the show. Certainly not the sexiest aspect of competing!

I made the mistake of overemphasizing my concerns about my top to the woman who made my suit. The top of my figure suit was WAY too big and I ended up having to buy gel pads to stick in there. (Not something you want to spend EVEN MORE money on when you get it!) I have pictures of both suits that I wore in my photos. The blue suit was for figure and the one that was too big on top and too small on bottom. My bikini suit was pink.

Overall I was a HUGE fan of my suit. The support was great and it was beautiful. http://www.stakkedcouture.com/women-1/ I also used bikini bite on my top in addition to my bottom to help keep the girls in check. For both divisions, I felt totally secure in my suit (mostly thanks to the bikini bite), I wasn't worried at all about something popping (or flopping) out.

Hope this helps! Feel free to message me if you have any other questions!
  • Thank you so much. That is totally how I am currently. 34D but loose... not very but enough that I worry about them looking good. I will check out the site you provided also. Thanks

I started at a 34dd and ended at a 32C. It was very freeing lol after years of carrying them around. of course I am back to a dd but waterbabies is where I got my first suit and you can use the Bikini Byte to help keep your top where you need to. I just tied mine up tight and bikini byte. After getting off stage the back of my neck was indented with the bikini

Thanks for the info! I'm 12wks out from the show I plan on doing and I am currently looking for suits. I am also worried about my top, as I am a 34DDD, and super worried about finding something to fit me.

I got mine from suitsyouswimwear.com (its in my photos). Bikini bite does the trick, or double sided tape. Suitsyouswimwear makes custom suits, and they have you send in your measurements and pictures before they make the suit.

No matter where you order though, the best thing you can do is to order early enough (if you can) so you can try it on and send it back if necessary. I know no one wants to cut fat for nothing, but an ill fitting suit will lose points for you in the eyes of the judges.
  • thanks ladies!!! :D
