Found a good app for my treadmill use. Its called 'Virtual Walk Treadmill or GPS' found here on google play store

As I like to use my treadmill for walking and running this gives me added incentive to go the distance. I just started the Appalachian Trail today.
You can also use GPS for outside walks or runs if you have an Android phone - sadly I don't, so I have it set up on my Sony tablet and it works a treat! A little dot moves along the route so you can see your progress with waypoints along the way that show photos of the area.
