I love the quote today! That's me - at least now.
Today did Box and Burn 403 calorie burn.

I feel slightly cheated sometimes when I lose weight I also lose calorie burn. But I think I get a more appreciation out of the work out now.

I can't believe I use to do all the TKD with 60 lbs more weight. It would be interesting to do it with a weighted vest. I would huff and puff a whole lot more.

BTW still have stupid cough. I think we are all taking turns being sick. I don't think it's contagious over MFP!

    Another day of no school!

Love today's quote! Just give me enough time, that's all.

I'm still slowly feeling better (thank goodness). I sure hope I didn't pass this awful bug to you Jen!
I'm still taking care of my lil girl who was up half the night coughing. :frown: So, I'm still taking it easy, but today was able to do some planks, wallsits, and chair-assisted pull-ups at home (which didn't feel too great, might have to strengthen my shoulders somehow first), plus helped my son with some developmental exercises that use a bit of my arm & shoulder strength (had to have DH do these with him while I was sick, but I got back to it last night and tonight). I've got an appt with my son Thursday, so I'm just holding back to get well and hit that appt (costs if we miss :indifferent: ). After that, I'm going to get back to my routine for the next 3-4months til Easter. Yay.

All of you who are getting this crazy cold polar vortex (or whatever they're calling it), be CAREFUL and heed all the warnings. And try to keep warm.

Hump day, here I come.....g'night all.

Hello from the heart of the polar vortex! A couple of our local TV meteorologists were interviewed by the Washington Post about it, which was cool.

Jen, I know exactly what you mean about the calories - it's a little frustrating watching my calorie burn drop. My Pilates class is now around or even under 200 calories. BUT, I'm still getting the benefit of the workout.

And Pilates is what I have on the agenda for tonight. Didn't have it the past two weeks because of Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, so I expect it to kick my butt.

Sherry I'm glad you're making progress getting over your bug! Hope your daughter gets better soon too. Hard for you to rest & get better when you're up at night taking care of her.

13Strong I'm struggling with eating right now too. I'm blaming the polar vortex - when it's this cold I just want to eat.

Worked out 20 minutes. Wanted to go for the full 30 but I start losing strength when it's repetitive areas. I did total body and lower body tonight. Need to work on my lunges especially my ankle & calf strength. I am surprised though because I could do a couple full push ups fairly easily (usually I do them on my knees) so that was exciting.

Today was a bit here, a bit there, exercise. I went to work. I did pushups at (on) my desk, squats in the restroom, and went outside and ran around the building to get from one end to the other rather than walking inside (NOT a good idea when it's 15F out BTW). Then I drove home, fed the dogs, packed them into the car, and went to the dog training building to teach puppy class. At the dog training building, before the rest of the people arrived, I challenged my dogs to a race to their tennis balls after I threw them (the dogs won), then taught the class, which today involved sitting and talking as it was the orientation and no puppies were present. Went home and did a half hour of stretching and some yoga. So I did get my hour in, in bits and pieces, but I wouldn't call it a good exercise day
