Bed Position Suggestion

I had the lap band surgery this morning and everything went great! Now, I'm resting and walking. I was given a spirometer to breathe into every hour for the next couple of days to reduce pneumonia. The only problem I'm really having is finding the right position while laying down on the bed. I'm wondering is there anyone who had to go through this and if so how did you overcome it?

I had to be almost in a sitting up position or I could not get comfy! The only other position that I was semi comfy in was in my side in a fetal position.

    Hope you find some comfort!!!

thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Layin on my back feels so uncomfortable it's unreal. I'll have to try the fetal position. Thank you again. :)
  • When I had lap band in September, I would lay in bed flat (I know most people don't like this) and I put some of my heavier pillows on my belly and on the sides of my body. This let my muscles stretch just a bit and the weight of the pillows held me all in.

I had to rely on my lazy boy recliner for a couple weeks. laying down made my stomach muscles hurt. The recliner is the only thing that I found comfortable :)

LolaBug85, I really wish I had a lazy boy recliner a couple of days ago, it would've helped out a lot. Now, it's a little easier for to sleep in my bed.

Thank you guys for all the input!
