hi I just joined your group im encouraged and determined to stay motivated even though I seldom seem to lose weight I wont give up

Welcome! A bit slow in activity this week, but it is a lively crew usually and very supportive.
A few tips to get you going:
Get a digital scale to measure your foods and reliable measuring cups and spoons.
Find something fun to get you moving. I do dancing (Zumba dvds, free form to radio and digital music sources), yoga, walking and hiking when weather allows, and will be trying out snow shoeing shortly after the new year. Whatever gets you to moving, just do it.
A good heart rate monitor is a very good investment, Amazon always has a good one at a good price.

Age does not stop you from losing weight. Many of us are losing consistently and we are 60+.
Get some MFP friends you have things in common with that can be location, weight to lose, favorite exercise, hobbies, whatever just surround yourself with good friends.0 -
