Introducing Myself...

Hi all, I'm Cara -- I just turned 50 December 28th -- wah and I need to lose about 70 pounds. I think I am part way through menopause -- single mom with a 22 year old so trying how to figure out who I am now, redefining myself I guess. Wishing the happiest of new year's to you all and look forward to sharing, learning from new friends. Thanks!

Hey all,
I just turned 47 in February and have been fighting this battle it seems my whole life. I want better for myself. I was pretty active in my 20's but not skinny fit, then I had my 1st child at 30 and 2nd at 34 so my 30's were pretty much spent on them. Now my 40's I wanted to be for ME! But here I am 7 years into this part and still am fighting this battle. HELP! I am not consistant which is what I have trouble with, I seem to always bail on myself before I even get close to succeeding. Just when things start going well I sabatoge myself and this is where I sit right now. I have been off for this will be my 3rd week and I need to rectify this now before it's fall again and I've not done anythign.

Hey Rhonda - I'm there with you - about getting back into the routine. What I found works for me is to join a challenge - one where you're accountable to others. For me checking in with an accountability partner with my fitness and weight totals each week keeps me motivated (and having to 'fess up when I've been lazy or grazing is no fun!). Good luck to you on this journey! Feel free to add me as a friend0
