I tried C25K before and am thinking of trying it again once I build up a little more! Thanks for the encouragement!

I swear by C25K! I just finished it a week or so ago and am working on a 10k training that was an easy transition from it!

Thanks for the responses to my question about raising a mileage goal during the month. Right now it works for me to raise it when I'm doing better than I expected. Never kept track before, so I've got a lot to learn! And it is GREAT to feel I am getting stronger already!

Tuesday AM at the athletic club: had an update session with my trainer, so some new machines, and some increased weights. More progress. Then the bike and then the water fitness class.

Added 3.49 miles on the bike for a January total so afar of 52.59.

DCMAT - If you keep replacing parts, you're going to have a whole new bike.  300 pounds is a lot of money! cheap for the bike you ride but still. That's not just pocket change. Here's to hoping it will hold together for awhile now. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

With all your racked miles...it's no wonder that you wore your drive train right out and then some! Although I don't have quite the mileage you do, my bike is in need of some tlc too, (cassette, rotors, chain ring, chain)...about $300.00 worth!
    Luckily you have a nice backup...Great job!:drinker:

Maybe it's time to buy bike number 4...just in case

@dcmat - I like the way you think! I can't imagine anyone who deserves #4 more than you.

I got in 5 miles on the treadmill. Another big snowstorm here. Just barely holding on to the lime green.

Woohoo!!! Two more to make GOAL!! KAPLAT and CECI_O_K!!!! :drinker::drinker::drinker:

ANORANGIE - You're very welcome, of course. :)

DJMICHEALS - Hang in there and I hope you get well soon. You've had far more than your fair share of getting sick recently. :flowerforyou:

KAWOOKIE - You're looking at it all wrong. You're not slacking....you are doing great! Cardio and* resistance. Your miles look great too. I think the only* thing you could improve is picking the right goal number. Please don't get down on yourself for not measuring up to that because you are still doing all the right things and doing it well. :drinker:

ANACONDA469 - Always wanted to visit and see Oregon (and yes, I even pronounced that correctly :wink:) and I hope to point my motorcycle in that direction one day.

CPANUS - Great step day!

LEANZ and LITTLEMISSRAINEY - Goals upped as requested! Good luck!

NATERS_0823 - Yup, stick with it and it totally does get easier and more enjoyable. I whole-heartedly recommend C25K as well. And no need to be in any certain shape to start it. It is already designed for someone that has never run a step in their lives.

SENNETH12 - Wonderful! So consistent too! :flowerforyou:

    SUFFERLANDRIAN - So close!

I used the C25k app by RunDouble then transitioned to 5 to 10k. There is also a Couch 2 10k component that is included if you purchase the full app ($3?).

    I also swear by C25k!

    Another 7.58 miles covered

Really pleased I got my miles in plenty of time as I'm struggling with my left achilles again and it's really painful to walk. Perfect timing for the 50k per week step challenge I've just joined
