What are your goals for this year?
I recently started a diet plan called the "No S Diet" and part of it is to workout for 14 minutes a day. So that's my plan, 14 minutes everyday (except Shabbat and holidays). That's only 4 songs worth of exercise a day. I can do it!! I will do it!!
This year, let's Kick some serious Butt!! Who's with me?!

Happy New Year. Nice goals Chani
Goal is to continue with push ups.

Good morning, chani8 and sims. Great goals! I love them.
Awesome title, too!
My 2014 goals:
To lose 10 pounds and not gain it back. I want to see 129 on the scale just for the heck of it. As long as I stay around the 130 mark I will be happy. Right now I'm hovering around 138. It's great that I'm down from somewhere in the 180s, but I don't want to get lazy and stop before I reach my goal.
To do push ups. I want to become a push up monster like Sims! Seriously, my upper body needs strength.
To continue to experiment with cooking and make some new simple dishes (I'm a non-cook with a big history of eating out).
To drink water every day. Water sets the stage for awareness of what I'm putting in my body.
To continue to walk outside every day. I live across the road from a national park with thousands of acres of nature walking, good trails and roads, woods and mini-mountains. It is tame enough that walking is easy. I don't want to become a couch dweller again. Life is for living, not couching. In fact, I'm wrapping up in a few minutes to head out there now.0 -
Fantastic goals, both of you!!
I made my 14 minutes today, with shovelglove.com's exercises of shoveling, tucking, chopping, stoking, churning, and overhead wood chops.
Hollis, I hope you're able to get those walks in the woods! I'm adding 'more nature walks/hikes' to my goals, too.0 -

Awesome, chani8! Those are great exercises.
FYI, I'm using a modified version of your no snacks diet for when I'm at work. I want to go one month without snacking on anything there, only the one snack I bring (a grapefruit half or an apple.... otherwise my energy lags). I did much better yesterday and only snapped and ate 1 cookie (an improvement over the 10 cookies the day before).
Back from a dog walk.... heading out for a park walk for myself (she is too old to come). A nice gloomy 23 degrees here!0 -
That's awesome on the one cookie self-control! Enjoy your walk! Burrr0
