Flexibility

Hi there I hope someone can help me.
It's come to my attention that my lats are hindering my shoulder mobility. It is a mix of lats being tight and the sheer bulk of my lats combined with my bulky upper arms.
1. When I lay flat on my back I cannot straighten my arms over my head. Instead my arms bend at the elbow and spread out, otherwise they would hang a few inches from the floor.
2. When I stand up, bend forward at my waist and try to stretch my arms out behind me and linking my hands, I can only lift them approx 6 inches from my back. My girlfriend can lift her arms behind her back way more than that without even trying.
Can anyone recommend how to regain flexibility with a large upper body?
Cheers

Hi
Thanks a lot, that video is really useful and it backs up another video I found last night which teaches flexibility for baseball players:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9N2-EX-YXk&list=PLusQLtdCXxXKgPLBOjz1O7EJiFcMM8S1O
It's good to cross reference these things and avoid the quacks out there.0 -

De Franco is solid. Another one is Kelly Starrett. He has a bunch that can be found here: http://www.mobilitywod.com/episodes/0
