Hi!
I've just started week 5 and I'm hoping there are others around the same stage for motivation? This seems to be the point that I've stopped a couple of times (because of other factors, time, work etc) and want to make sure I get through it this time!
Would love to hear from anyone around week5/6!

Hang in there.
Week 5 is a mental challenge. Your body is ready but your mind either isn't or doesn't want to accept that the body is ready. Either way, it's a mental struggle to make it through Week 5. Don't listen to your inner voice; just keep running. Slow down if you need to but keep running.

This is an amazing milestone and you are going to be justifiably thrilled with yourself when you complete it. Every step you have run so far says that you are capable of this. Trust your body. Trust the program. You have got this!0

Not all C25k programs are the same. I'm starting week 7 of Ease into 5k. Week 6 day 3 for me was my first 20 minute consecutive run. I believe that's about where week 5 is on other apps. Tomorrow I do a 20 minute run, 3 minute walk and 5 minute run.
When I did my 20 minute run, I finally felt like a runner!! Best of luck to you - friend me if you wish0 -
Thank you for the advice! Did my Week 5 day 2 today which was two 8 minute jogs with a 5 minute walk in between. My next one is the 20 minute one and I'm terrified  Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow, I'm going to post on here to keep me honest about it!0

Found your comment really helpful and spot on - just finished week five (and really have been running week five for almost a year - not pushing past 5 minute blocks). This week I couldn't believe I was running 20 minutes - and you are right the body is ready but the inner voice thinks not! I was so proud of my achievement - and actually managed to run much more than was planned!
Oh, and agree with another comment further up the page - running for 20 minutes I feel like a real runner at last!0 -
I'm doing the NHS programme. I found week 5 more of a mental challenge and once I got past it I was into plane sailing all the way.... until I took a break over Xmas and am now back trying to break the week 5 run 1 barrier.
NHS week 5 run 1 is 5 min run, 3 min walk, 3 times.0
