In no particular order...10 things I have learned or liked in the first two months of keto:
1. Eat vegetables with every meal. Including breakfast.
2. The “Cook Once, Eat Twice” mindset will save your sanity.
3. “When in doubt, eat more fat.”
4. Dining out on keto is not as difficult as a I thought. But I miss potstickers.
5. Eating small slabs of coconut oil is fun.
6. NO MORE BLOOD SUGAR CRASHES.
7. A little bit of carb is ok. Especially if they look like small croissants.
8. I like pork belly better than bacon. Also: crackling!
9. Having a high and low set of macros makes it far easier to balance food intake. (see Keto Calculator by Martin Ankerl)
10. This diet isn’t suitable for everyone, for health or personal reasons. And that’s ok.
Conversation welcome. What has your experience been so far?
