HI all - had TTO and DeNovo cartilage patch placed on my knee cap back in 2012 - i have some exercize restrictions - no running or high impact.
anyways - i did great for the year after surgery getting fit - and then the past 8 months got lazy -
Im back now - recomitted and looking for buddies - i will be working out about 5x a week and looking to lose 20 or so lbs,
need a knee buddy? add me![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)

Hi Jess,
I am in the same boat with you. I have had 5 surgeries on my right knee and I finally got it replaced last Feb and I am also under restrictions. My Dr. told me the less stress I have on my knee the longer it will last. So, with low impact exercises and watching what I eat, I am hoping to it going for 15 years.
I have now turned to walking almost every day. With my busy schedule and a desk job, I am not able to get as many steps in as some people, but I try to walk at least 2 miles a day in the cold winters and 3-4 miles in the summer.
Good luck to you and I will add you so we can support each other!!
Take care!0
