Macros on target but calories under???

I'm sure there's a very simple explanation, but I don't understand how I can hit my macros and still have my calorie under target??

Actually, my protein is over by 13g, fat and carbs are bang on track and my calories are still under by 35.
How does that work?
I've also had days where my macros are almost exactly on target but calories end up a little over..?

    I almost wonder if its just a function of the tracking database, ie, this piece of chicken is really 20 g protein and 100 kcal versus 23 g and 100 kcal. (Just making up numbers here.) I think your day is pretty dead on, even if your protein is a little over and calories are a little under, so I wouldn't sweat it. If it were bigger swings maybe I'd tweak it, but those seem pretty close to your goal.
