F3 Workout

What is a good entry to put in for caloric burn for a typical 45min F3 workout? 500 calories seem about right?

Something between 45 mins of IWs and Hairburners - good middle of the road hard workout stuff.

Maybe a bit conservative... but close enough for government work... and I am a government worker.

For a typical bootcamp, I've been labeling it "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort" and 45-min or an hour depending on workout day. Not saying it's right, just what I've been doing.
For the running days, I use my Strava/Runkeeper results and then tinker with timing until I'm close on the app.

Based on rule of thumb and garmin run oriented calorie burn data over the years, my estimate is that a 45 minute bootcamp is good for 350 - 450 calories. Run workout calorie burn comes to me directly from my device. If you are doing this to lose weight then you should go conservative with `350ish while if you are looking to maintain or gain, then ride up that line towards ~450 land. Just my $0.02.

This link has some useful estimates from the Mayo Clinic on various exercises- http://www.mayoclinic.org/ /art-20050999. Since they are based on a 1-hour workout, you can just take 75% of the value and maybe subtract 50 or so calories to keep it conservative.

I agree with gnarlygoat. Don't let perfection get in the way of progress. I used the MFP calorie burn calculator, and came up with about 500 calories for a Kettle Bell Beatdown ( http://f3nation.com/2015/01/05/what-happened-at-tradition-didnt-stay-there/) . I think if several of us give it a shot, we can come up with a good range. See if you can see the workout at this link... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/exercise/lookup_my_exercise/43833136
