Hi all, I'm Jen

I have been logging on to mfp for just over 18 months. I only came across the Paleo/Primal lifestyle in December.

I have been eating gluten & dairy free since August when I was diagnosed with PCOS and did some internet research on the type of diet that would help me naturally control it. (I have lost about 10lbs since the diet change)

I started eating Paleo/Primal this month and am loving it! I feel soooooo much more positive and this week am finding that i'm sleeping better too!

I would really appreciate some supportive like minded people to help me on this journey

Thanks x

Welcome! I've been eating this way for a few years now, with a few times getting away from it and regretting it.

I've been ketogenic Primal, and now more Paleo, for 18 months. It's about health primarily, but the weight loss has been a much appreciated bonus. (I have a post in "Success Stories" where I list resolved health problems.)

I'm quite strict with my eating plan (and don't like the results of when I'm not!) and I am passionate and outspoken about my Paleo lifestyle. I welcome new friends, but just be aware that I say it as I see it. I don't walk on eggshells so I'm not everyone's cup of tea. I'm very supportive to people who are committed to their health, just as I am. :flowerforyou:

    Hi Jen-

I also have PCOS and a few weeks ago I cut out gluten and (most) dairy. I'm toying with the paleo/primal stuff. I lost quite a bit of weight last year just calorie counting, but can't get rid of this last 25 lbs. I'm hoping that making the switch and being more deliberate with nutrition will help me finish this race.

Feel free to add me. I'm 35, mom to two elementary aged girls. If you're worried about infertility, know that it can be done :)
