Hello all,
I am having to diet for the first time in my life and hope this forum will help me keep going. I am in a competition with my two brothers and sisters and I want to win. I dont care about winning the money but the bragging rights are priceless. My family is very competitive. Any advice on how to get rid of belly fat would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard! I have over the past year or so have really started looking at what I consume. After 40, carbs and I are at a constant battle. I try to only eat whole grains and early in the day. MFP has really helped me control my calories and eat much healthier options. It is amazing how many calories are in some food. I eat lots of lean meat and veggies. However, my downfall is my low of coffee. I waste 300 to 400 calories a day on coffee. :drinker: :sad: :drinker:0

Hello everyone! I am new to checking calories in food and body measurements. I like that carbs and sodium snd other nutrients are tallied for the day. I joined for the accountability of peolpe with similar goals of eating sensibly and losing weight. I am getting back on track this week. What I stick to is low carb, low sodium, mostly whole grain and no caffeine. It seems to work for me both for weight loss and controlling my sporadic episodes of vertigo from menieres. I plan to set up my exercise area so I can begin incorporating some exercises next month. I wish everyone the best in acheiving their goals!0

It's not a plan--you follow your own plan--it's more about mindset and getting your mind on the same page with your plan.
Worth a shot. Will report after I finish the 21 day video plan. To date down 1.4kilos after 7 days.(3.6 lbs)0
