The dreaded butt wink

I saw this video on Youtube today and found it to be very informative and definitive.

TL;DW it basically explains that everyone will have butt wink to some degree. It is not only unavoidable but it's even beneficial. Only severe buttwink due to poor stance, form or mobility is truly an issue that needs to be addressed.

I happen to agree with this assessment. Thoughts?

I find that I just can't go past parallel without some serious butt wink.... So I go to parallel or just barely past and do low bar.

Same but I do high bar. Does low bar help? I've tried it a couple of times and it feels really awkward to me.

The real question is what is the connection between severe butt wink and satanic day cares? Inquiring minds...

I've read that low bar activates your posterior chain more without having to go so deep. And I just like it better. I feel more balanced at the bottom leaning forward a bit.

Hmm maybe I'll give it another try now that I'm more experienced. Thanks :flowerforyou:

I think this is the article I read:

I know it's a lot of personal preference too though. And I also know not every likes Ripptoe.

Tagging to check it out. However, I am also of the opinion based on what I have seen/read that mild butt wink is not always the 'oh noes' that it is sometimes made out to be.
