You know you're losing weight & getting fit when you can pull up your jeans without unzipping them.
You know you're losing weight when people don't have to scoot in their chairs in order for you to pass between them.

I've only lost about three pounds so far, which has been frustrating for the amount of work I put into this. I have not, however, taken my measurements...so I am proud to report that I bought a new pair of workout pants in my "normal" size and the fit is much, much, looser. A big YES as my old ones were plenty stretched out!0

So here it comes - my first ever NSV! Few months ago I bought this bodywarmer which admittedly was 2 sizes too small but the sale price was to good to pass. Today I put it on - and I zipped it up!!! Woohoo!!!0

NSV- my daughter looked at me a couple days ago and said "MOM! You're looking so skinny!"
Hahaha... I am FAR from skinny but my clothes are definitely fitting comfortably now. :blushing:0 -
NSV and embarassing at the same time: Working on treadmill and pants half-way fell off. :laugh:At least there was only one other person in the room.0

NSV - I tried on an old pair of jeans I haven't worn in over a year... they fit! They were tight and I didn't wear them but I got them on and zipped! (without laying on the bed and sucking my stomach in!!)0

I am so excited I can hardly sit still enough to type this! Until this past Saturday, I may have thought I would never fully recover from my bout with the flu a couple weeks back. Then *poof*, I wake up Sunday morning with a renewed sense of self. I am usually not at a loss for words, but I can't put my finger on how to explain HOW MUCH different I felt from one day to the next. I grabbed onto this feeling and ran with it. Every chance I had Sun and Monday, I took the kids out for fresh air and exercise...I'm blessed with living on the border of a National Park. I set two goals for myself today as I've not been able to consistently meet 10,000 steps a day. Goal 1: a 10-15 minute walk at lunch even though it meant remembering to take extra shoes (may seem trivial, but we rush out of the house every morning and I usually forget something). Goal one complete! Goal two: Walk with my son after school while twins are at Tae Kwon Do. Here's where my excitement comes from. We were setting out to walk and I suggested we do intervals of walking and running so that we could cover more territory in the same amount of time, I could burn more calories, and he could get a jump start on track season. He agrees and I put on a C25K podcast and off we went. The biggest thrill for me was there were three 1 minute segment which forced me to run up hill and drum roll, please...I DID IT!!! Even at my most fit I would find a way to push off the hills until I was at the cool down portion of the work out. I am so proud of myself - I think I feel a tear sprouting :'-)0

I am so proud of you guys..
jen i cant wear some of my rings now lol. im so glad you can wear yours again/ mine are spinning on my fingers.. im going to resize them later.
acg.. i gave up on 10.000 steps. i now say my goal is to get in 30 min minimum of exercise a day. i like seeing the 10.000 on the ped, but some days i just didnt make it than i would be hard on myself EVEN if i exercised if i didnt get in 10,000 dteps so if i do great.. if i dont.. as long as i get in my 30 min im good.
it sounds like you had a aha breakthrough that you really want this and your holding onto that momentum and its pushing you.. wtg
love you RAN during thec25k with your son.. your setting a great example.. your a milf.. - mom instilling llifelong fitness in your kids.. we need more parents like you.
and running uphill you totally rock!!0 -
Great job ac!! :flowerforyou:
I've officially hit that awkward "in between" sizes stage with my clothes. My big clothes are getting looser and looser but I'm not quite into my next size down yet. Ytd my husband told me my jeans were way too baggy and I need to quit wearing that pair! But ... while they're extremely loose on my legs and butt... they fit my stomach still. I sure wish we could "target" weight loss!!
I did shop in my closet this morning for smaller shirts and found a couple that I haven't worn in a year at least that I'm comfortable wearing again. I'm super picky about how a shirt fits me, I can't stand it to sit on, hug or show my fat belly!! Some I hung back up but I am wearing one of my old shirts today!! :drinker:0 -
My new profile pic reveals more than just my face. I can't remember 1. The last time I wasn't embarrassed to post a picture of myself and 2. I allowed my husband to put my pic on his facebook page without scrutinizing it.0

I ran for 2.75 minutes total today. I haven't been able to run for more than maybe 15 s since 2010. Woot!0
