So, funny story - when I signed up on MFP, I entered my goal, entered my weight, and low and behold....after weighing myself, my weight was higher than planned! Only but a few lbs...I weighed myself Tuesday morning, and saw good results...cannot wait until next week's weigh-in to post my first official loss...I am afraid I might jinx myself....so far so good!!!

First welcome ,I joined MFP April 2012,with 130 to lose, as of today I have about 45 to go. The first week or so can be deceiving as most of the loss is usually water weight, still a loss though! Just remember things will slow down that's ok a loss is a loss, I'm on a 5 month stall, frustrating yes, giving up no way, I've come too far to ever go back to 274lbs.
If and when you start feeling frustrated, remind yourself this will take time, better to lose slowly and keep it off then have constant losses and regains, you'll have days when you want to give up don't, you can do this. And if you fall off the wagon and have a bad day, do what I did , stay off the wagon, what I mean is don't beat yourself up about a bad day here and there, we all have them , just start right back and you will get where you want to go health and weight wise.
Good luck to you, this is a great place to be for support, I joined after a friend lost 50 lbs with help and support from this site, I joined hoping, dreaming I could lose something ,anything, and here I am almost 2 years later, down almost 90 lbs , no where near where I thought I'd be, but so much closer to goal than I've ever been, I will reach goal, when? who knows but I will, as will you.0 -
Welcome. You can do this! Don't get discouraged.0
