Niggles after running vs during running

Hi everyone
I am doing the micoach half marathon plan for a half on 13 April. I have recently had a running assessment and bought shoes for my running style etc.
Historically and to a lesser extent currently I tend to get niggles around the inside of knee or outside of foot (almost always left leg). I don't experience any pain running it's more in between runs. Usually use a bit of Deep Heat and very occasionally ibuprofen.
Am I correct in my thinking that I am okay as long as not getting pain during running? Am enjoying getting into this and am very much hoping to manage the 21.2 in 11 weeks !

A real rough rule of thumb is that is the discomfort is not causing you to adjust anything (gait, pace, distance) you can probably run through it. That is, of course, a rough guideline. As yours is not during the run but between that sounds different. If you can it is worth getting a professional assessment. Most "knee" issues are minor and can be resolved with the right shoes, glute and hip exercises, stretching, etc. Some though are a problem waiting to happen. This far out if it is a problem waiting to happen, well, you want to know that. If you need something besides shoes you want to know that too.
I don't recall the website, but you could search , but there are sights where you indicate where the discomfort is, type of pain (dull, achy, etc) and you can get a guesstimate of the issue.0
