Lifting frequency for fat loss

I'm currently focusing on fat loss as my top priority, above strength building. As such, I currently eat at a modest deficit (about 20% under TDEE) and workout on average about 5-6 days a week.

Most of my workouts are cardio (boxing, typically) but I do lift as well. My question is, when focusing on fat loss, is lifting once a week enough or should I swap out one of my cardio sessions for a second lifting session? My current lifting session is full body, 3x5 squats, DLs, rows, bench press, OHP and lat pulldowns.

I have about 15 lbs to lose, or 7-8% body fat.

If I were in your position I would train full body a minimum of twice per week.

    ^^yep.

Boxing is actually a great add for cardio as there is actually some resistance element to it, it is not steady state and provides a very good calorie burn.

Boxing is awesome but if you're training boxing like I did, 5-6 days of it Plus weight lifting might be a bit too much. I think it would be wise to plan a workout that gives you plenty of rest too. A typical boxing session lasts 2 hours (well, 1.45 hours really) and those sessions DRAINS you out. Doing those 5-6 times per week plus lifting might endup hurting.

Actually, I did not catch that it was most days. I agree, that doing it every cardio day would probably not be the best thing. Make sure you get some rest and/or throw some steady state cardio in there.

Ah, I'm not boxing 5-6 day per week ... I box 3, maybe (big maybe) 4 times a week for an hour. The other days I'm doing steady state and one of the days I've been lifting.

I think I'll dump one of the cardio days for a second lifting session. That means I'd been doing 3-4 days of cardio per week and 2 days of lifting. I would include steady state in there. (Speaking of which, is spin considered steady state? I'm thinking yes ...)
