stuck at 25 minutes

when I first started I could barely run a minute..now I can run 25! I am really stuck though..for some reason the 28 minutes are eluding me..any advice?

    Slow down. And then slow down some more. You don't need to worry about pace or distance at the moment, you can work on those later. If you can run 25 minutes you can run 28, alot of it is psychological. I struggled with the longer runs but I just kept going, no matter how slow.

    A little cross training once in a while may be useful. If you have a gym membership, try out one of the exercise bikes or elliptical units or if you have a bicycle, take a nice long easy ride some afternoon after work.

    Slow down. Even if you think you are going slow now slow it down some more. Once you slow down you will be amazed @ how far you can run.

    One of the best tips regarding running...sometimes your mind will want to stop before your legs are ready to. Sometimes its a psychological barrier that needs to be overcome.
