HI THERE!

Hey Y'all Im Kelsey. I recently bought a C25K app on my phone(the one from coolrunning.com i beleive) I am planning on here in a month or two starting it. Ive got a few reasons for waiting #1 ITS COLD!(well off and on cold lol 50 one day 2 the next i hate the weather in Missouri) #2 I have a 4 year old and no babysitter right now. #3 i live on a road with DRUNK DRIVERS i swear my road was made for people to drive drunk on it. So we should be moving hopefully in April(ish) and I am wanting to start the program then. My question is what should i do to prepare for it? I dont have a gym membership or even one anywhere near my house. I do have a stationary bike at home. Im a month into my lifestyle change so Im still WAY OUTTA SHAPE! Any advise would be great! Now im going to go read some of the other posts on here! Thanks for any and all advise!! Cant wait till we move so i can get started!

Can you easily walk for 30 minutes? If you can do that, you'll be good to go in Apr. any increased level of fitness is going to be a bonus, whether strength (improves form/ safeguards against injury) or cardio (increases endurance). I'm glad to see that you've set aside your race for now. There were just too many constraints on your life to make that a successful goal. I'm also glad to see that you are sticking to completing c25k.

It was sooo hard last year when my kids were one and two. Now they are two and (nearly) four, and everybody's used to me running. I'm actually hiring a sitter to come over on the 8th so I can do a race. She's probably not going to be alone with the kids for more than 30 minutes, but my husband needs time to get ready for work and I'll want a nap. In a couple years, your child will be in school and running will be such a convenient way to fit in being more active.
